Looking forward to Christmas and thought it a good time to look back at the past year as Cauldrons and Furnaces has taken shape. A full Cultural Olympiad project run by Theatr Harlech saw a fantastic Mabinogion performance take place at the Castle in July in partnership with local schools. Looking forward to 2010 already!

At Harlech Castle and Theatr Harlech, 25 artists and 400 young people from local schools explored and re-examined the myths of the Mabinogion using puppetry, projections, circus, song and trickery. Each school/group selected an episode from the Mabinogion and also a medium through which to tell their story through sound, installation, music, performance, theatre, poetry, dance or carnival.
